Nothing on the sheet can go out of date

A fighter's record changes. His ranking changes. The number of title defences changes. Any poster that prints those is wrong the moment it is framed, and it gets more wrong every year it hangs there.

What is printed is height, reach, stance and date of birth — which do not move — honours that are permanent once won, and one line naming the night the picture is from.

Fan art, and it says so

This is independent fan art of fighters, made because the moments are worth hanging. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed from any promotion, athlete or organisation, and that line is in the footer of every page rather than buried.

There are no invented signatures on any print. If a poster looked signed, it would be a lie printed on someone's wall.

One fighter, three ways

Every fighter appears in all three series, and each one is its own picture — made from a different photograph, not three crops of one file. The caption under each describes what is actually in that picture rather than what is in the other two.

  • The face

    The moment the poster is about, at the size it prints.

  • The texture

    Heavy paint texture and deep shadow — the look the series is after.

  • The lettering

    Ring name and surname in the same brushed style as the picture.

The print

Every size is true 2:3, which is why there is no 18 × 24. That frame is 3:4: filling it means cropping eleven percent off the height, and on these that is exactly where the tube lettering and the brushed name sit. A size that requires destroying the bottom of the artwork is not a size worth selling.
